Together they exterminated all life on their planet and renamed it Deadworld. They became Judge Fear, Fire and Mortis - The Dark Judges. With their help he became the undead monster Judge Death, before repeating the procedure on three other Judges. The turning point for Sydney was discovering the Sisters of Death (two witches called Phobia and Nausia). On the day of his graduation his mother and sister left, hoping to run away, but Sidney found them and tortured and killed them. Judge DeathĪs he grew up, torture was not enough and he wanted to bring justice to his world and the only way possible was by becoming a Judge. Once a young boy called Sidney De'Ath, the warped son of a dentist, who tortured his patients and would sometimes kill them, Sidney grew up admiring his father's work, saying it had a prolonged affect on him. Think of it as the 'ch' in the word 'loch', but stretched out like a string of synthi-toffee.A twisted creature from another dimension, Judge Death reasoned that since all crime was committed by the living, life itself was unlawful, and he set out to destroy all existence.
The ability to hiss the letter K (see quotes). Uncatalogued but extensive mystical abilities. They were unsuccessful, and the entire undead family were banished back to Deadworld, vowing one day to have their revenge.
The Sisters aided the Dark Judges and their recruit, Judge Kraken, in trying to conquer Mega-City One during the Necropolis event, and later summoned three other family members, Pustula, Ephemera and Dementia, to help them try to stop Psi Judge Cassandra Anderson from destroying the bridge connecting Deadworld to the Mega-City.
They subsequently metamorphosed into hideous undead creatures themselves, and helped Judge Death to transform three of his associates into Judge Fear, Judge Fire and Judge Mortis, the Dark Judges, who went on to murder the entire population of their planet. Phobia and Nausea, known as the Sisters of Death, were two "death cultists and devotees of the dark arts" on the parallel Earth known as Deadworld, who befriended a young Judge called Sidney and used their powers, derived from human sacrifice, to turn their eager protegé into Judge Death.
